Blue Sky project for Boeing exploring alternate seating systems and travel environments for Boeing 747s and 777s. Full plane floor plan to include children’s room, sleeping compartments, bar, and an innovative seating solution that repositions passengers over a larger surface area. A curved “bump” removed sharp angles and dangers like deep vein thrombosis, repositioning passengers into a more vertical position while still keeping the same current footprint.
Sketches developed ideas, that were then explored and executed with various foam and full scale models. One final working prototype was produced to give Boeing the unique vertical seating experience and perspective.
